Our first program to bring wellness to the younger generation is through Nutrition Detectives™ by Drs. David and Catherine Katz.
Nutrition Detectives™ is an exciting nutrition education program for elementary school children that is "Teaching Kids to Make Healthy Choices." They learn how to read food labels, detect marketing deceptions while simultaneously learning to identify and subsequently choose healthy foods. The program is novel, creative, engaging, and efficient, imparting crucial information in minimal time.
We feel that our first project is right on track considering that First Lady Michelle Obama kicked off her "Let's Move" in February, 2010. "Let's Move" is an agenda of nutrition and exercise programs designed to eliminate "the epidemic of childhood obesity" in a generation.
